METRO NORTH REGION, COLO --- Colorado gubernatorial candidates John Hickenlooper, Dan Maes and Tom Tancredo will face off regarding key issues that affect business and industry on September 17, 2010 from 7:00 – 9:30 AM at the Arvada Center located at 6901 Wadsworth Boulevard , Arvada , CO . The forum, hosted by the Metro North Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Arvada Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Golden Chamber of Commerce, Jefferson Economic Council, the West Chamber of Commerce serving Jefferson County and the Denver Regional Council of Governments, is slated to convene business representatives, community leaders and the general public for an opportunity to hear directly from candidates regarding their agendas.
“With so much at stake for the future of Colorado, the 2010 Governor’s race is extremely important in ensuring that we have the right leadership in place to handle projected budget deficits, transportation, workforce development, education issues and other business priorities,” stated Deborah Obermeyer , President and CEO of the Metro North Chamber of Commerce. “The Metro North Chamber is a strong advocate for the best interests of businesses, the creation of jobs and for those measures that are in alignment with an economic growth-focused agenda. Obermeyer urges members of the business, education, non-profit communities as well as the general public to attend the forum.
“This forum will allow us to hear directly from our candidates regarding the issues that impact us the most,” said Obermeyer. “We simply cannot position someone to lead our State without first knowing that they are committed to fostering a sound business environment.”
The event will include breakfast and an opportunity to network with business and community leaders from the Metro North region.
