Commerce City "We need to be sure that we are not left behind in ED..."
Will we ever see Development @ the Prairie Gateway site in Commerce City, CO??? It has been years since the Commerce City Civic Center and Rapids stadium have been built and still no economic development. I guess patience is really a virtue.

Your Metro North Chamber is On the Move

METRO NORTH REGION, COLO --- Oh, the places your business will go in 2011 with the Metro North Chamber… literally! The Metro North Chamber of Commerce is taking a big step to better serving its members and businesses…that is a 5 mile step right to the center of the Metro North region. The Chamber will be relocating its offices to a high-traffic retail space at the Orchard Town Center located at 144th & I-25, also in Westminster. The move will position the Chamber at the center of the Metro North region in a bustling retail office space that will boast a state- of-the-art Conference and Training Center as well as a Business Resource Center specifically designed to meet the needs of its member businesses.

“We have always been about providing businesses with access. From legislative policy to benefits and services and opportunities for connecting with business prospects, we work hard to ensure that our members have access to what they need,” said Deborah Obermeyer, President and CEO of the Metro North Chamber. “As our Chamber grows and the business environment in the region experiences an evolution in its needs, so too will we evolve and grow. For 2011 and moving forward, that means a strong focus on helping to take businesses to new levels. As a result, the theme for all our efforts is ‘Oh, the places your business will go… when you partner with the Metro North Chamber!’

The increased effort to help take businesses to new levels starts with the new space, which will be dubbed the ‘Metro North Chamber Business & Community Connection Center’ that will provide a sophisticated yet friendly environment for business to occur. In addition to an increased focus on business to business connections, the center will provide opportunity for member businesses to connect with consumers. The Orchard Town Center has an estimated 6 million visitors per year. The Metro North Chamber Business and Community Connection Center on its own expects to see an average of 1,200 visitors to the Center not including consumer foot traffic.

“The Metro North Chamber Business & Community Connection Center is designed to serve as the hub for all business in the region. Member businesses will have the opportunity to utilize the Center anytime to conduct business in our friendly and welcoming reception area sponsored by North Suburban Medical Center, use our Business Resource Center that will be equipped with computers, printers, internet services, etc., host meetings in our Executive Board Room sponsored by Pinnacol Assurance, or participate in an array of quality workshops and trainings in the Conference and Training Center,” commented Obermeyer. “We also anticipate to serve as the center of business development efforts in the region.” Obermeyer stated that the new Chamber location will be the premier place for developers to conduct business as it will showcase the regionalism that is appealing to prospects who are looking for places to relocate their businesses to the metro north region.

“If there is one thing the recent economy has shown us, it is that we need to think outside of the box when it comes to conducting business and handling our resources,” said Obermeyer. “That means we have to come together as a region and promote all that we have to offer collectively. Sure, each city has to make sure it is pulling its sales tax and work to ensure that prospects are landing in their boundaries, but the truth of the matter is that promoting regionalism has a hand in that. There exists a wealth of amenities offered throughout the region that can help enhance what each specific community has to offer to prospective companies and to their own residents. We intend to embrace that at the Metro North Chamber!”

Fitting with its move, the Chamber’s theme for 2011 is ‘Oh, the places your business will go…’ “We intend to help take business to a new level this coming year,” added Obermeyer. “There’s no limit to the places businesses will go as an active partner of Metro North Chamber.” The Chamber move is scheduled to take place on November 19, 2010.
