To achieve the state’s goals of job creation and rebuilding the economy, Governor John Hickenlooper is engaging Coloradans in a statewide conversation about Economic Development. Residents and businesses are invited to participate in the metro area’s Bottom-Up Economic Development Initiative meeting on Monday, March 28, 2011. The initiative seeks to create a statewide economic development strategy that is representative of all 64 counties.
During the meeting, attendees will share their stories, challenges, and strengths, developing a strategic economic development plan for Adams County. This plan will become part of the metro Denver area’s regional economic development plan – one of 14 across the state – which all will be rolled into the statewide economic development plan. Members of City Council and staff will be in attendance to share Commerce City’s experiences and provide their perspective on how the state can support economic development efforts in the city and throughout Adams County.

Will we ever see Development @ the Prairie Gateway site in Commerce City, CO??? It has been years since the Commerce City Civic Center and Rapids stadium have been built and still no economic development. I guess patience is really a virtue.
