Will we ever see Development @ the Prairie Gateway site in Commerce City, CO??? It has been years since the Commerce City Civic Center and Rapids stadium have been built and still no economic development. I guess patience is really a virtue.

Chamber Positions Itself to Provide More Support to Businesses

METRO NORTH REGION, COLO - As the economy begins to show signs of recovery, the Metro North Chamber is positioning itself to provide more support to area businesses. The Chamber announced this week that is has appointed Lisandra Gonzales as Marketing and Investor Relations Manager who will work to increase the organization’s presence in the community and the support of initiatives and events on behalf of the Chamber and its network of members in the Metro North region. In addition to managing marketing, promotions and media relations for the Chamber, Lisandra will be responsible for helping to strengthen relationships with members and increasing the services and benefits provided to businesses so that they can thrive.

“The business community has been hanging on for the past couple of years and we are starting to see signs that things are getting better, that hasn’t happened without a lot of work.” Commented Deb Obermeyer, Chamber President/CEO. “Businesses have survived because they have done everything possible to manage their way through one of the toughest recessions we have faced. We, the Chamber, have been there every step of the way providing support and advocating on behalf of businesses. We are now preparing to launch a full blown effort to aggressively strengthen our partnerships with businesses, educators, non-profit organizations and government agencies and to develop relationships with those groups who are not yet at our table so that we can make the metro north area a place where folks can thrive. Lisandra will be instrumental in expanding our efforts.”

Lisandra has over 10 years of marketing, development and graphic design experience. Prior to joining the Metro North Chamber Team Lisandra served as Director of Marketing and Development for CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties where she successfully led the non-profit’s fundraising and branding efforts. Before moving to Brighton , Colorado two years ago, she worked with the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce where she coordinated all leadership development efforts and was integral in advancing the organization’s public presence. Gonzales has a BS in Business Management and Marketing from the University of Phoenix .
